Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

•Is the Park handicap accessible?
All of our main pathways and buildings are wheelchair accessible. All of our 21 rides and most of our 22 attractions are likewise accessible. Ride accessibility is dependent upon safety issues and height limits in some cases in all three levels of rides in our Park. Five of our six Gardens are handicap accessible. •Do you have wheelchairs/motorized carts?
Wheelchairs are available for rent just inside the turnstiles at Dixie Cup Plaza. Our rental rates are $15 for a standard wheelchair, and $45 for an electronic wheelchair. A limited number of each are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be placed on reserve in advance.

•Do you have strollers available?
We have a limited number of strollers available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be placed on reserve in advance. They are $10 for a single stroller and $15 for a double stroller.

•Can you bring in your own food and are there picnic areas inside the Park?
We pride ourselves in offering more than just hamburgers, pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs and fries. Yes, we have those, but our restaurants are also equipped to offer: healthy choices, non-fried foods, reduced calories, vegetarian, and vegan. If guests choose to bring their own food and picnic we have a shaded picnic area available for this purpose located beside our Processing Center at the exit. Should a child or other guest have a medical condition that requires special attention, please check in with Guest Services at the Front Gate and ask to speak with a Supervisor. Our Supervisors will make reasonable accommodations for the person with the medical condition.

•Do you have birthday parties and group packages available?

•What are your admission prices?

•Can I bring my RV to the park?
RVs are welcome for day use only, but there is no overnight parking. Thousand Trails in nearby Morgan Hill and Betabel RV Resort in San Juan Bautista can accommodate extended vehicle stays for RVs. RV parking is $10.00 per vehicle.

•Is there a charge for parking?
Parking is $10 per vehicle, including RVs. Buses and 15-passenger vans may park for FREE.

•Do you have handicap parking?
Gilroy Gardens has a number of designated Handicapped Parking spots located near the large arched structure in Parking Lot A and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap parking is $10.00 per vehicle.

•How late are you open?

•Are animals allowed at the park?
Only animals that the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines as Service Animals are allowed in the park.  Due to the nature of some attractions, service animals may not be permitted to ride.  In those instances, a member of your party must remain with the animal.

•Do you have kennel facilities?
Gilroy Gardens has a very limited kennel facility. We encourage guests to leave their pets at home whenever possible. Special considerations are made for licensed sight, hearing and companion guide dogs, all of which are allowed to enter the Park.

•Is there public transportation to the Park?
At this time, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) offers bussing to downtown Gilroy. Please visit their website or call (408) 321-2300 for more information on routes. There is no bus service directly to the Park, but taxi service is available.

•What is the weather like?
Gilroy can get warm in the summertime. We recommend you bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, all of which are available for purchase at the Park. Click here for current weather conditions.

•Do you accept credit cards?
For your convenience Gilroy Gardens accepts cash, personal and travelers' checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not currently accept Discover card. Most payment types require additional identification. An ATM is available inside the park at Information, Please! and at the Front Gate near Will Call.

•Do you have lockers?
Lockers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. They are located inside the Park, behind Sugar Plum Farm Restaurant, just past Sycamore Bridge, near the restrooms.

•Where are you located?
We are located on Hecker Pass Highway (State Route 152), 3 miles west of U.S. 101 in Gilroy. Click here for driving directions.
